19.07.2020          Collaboration with Beorn Nijenhuis, presentation in Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ

Over the last year and a half I have been working with neuroscientist and former olympic speed-skater Beorn Nijenhuis together with sports psychologist Jet Steen on a project aimed to provide some insight into how a professional musician can best use their time in the practise room. The premise of this project was to take time out of my regular performing schedule to devote to learning the six Bach cello suites and then to have my time structured and supervised by Beorn and Jet. My stress levels and well being was monitored closely throughout the whole project to give them precious data to use in looking back and seeing what effects different interventions in my schedule had on me.
It has been a very intense and transformative project and I am extremely happy to be able to present how this last year and a half has been, together with Beorn and Jet at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ on August 1st at 20:00.
Tickets for this presentation (I will of course also be playing a little bit) can be bought here.
